Re: Afkriminaliser Cannabis SØGER HJÆLP

I think this is almost a 'request', which then should be made on the request section. But okay, maybe this is a bit different, so I have approved your post. The facebook link is broken ("...or the page may have been removed") . Hm... A big hallelujah for OpenFacebook ;-) Further, it would ...

Re: windows media player classic MPC HC ondertiteling ontvangen.

Windws Media Player Classic cannot connect to database

Here a translation of a topic posted in the Dutch section . I don't have an answer, maybe someone else can help? Translation: For some time I'm using windows media player classic subtitles by clicking "bestand" (file) , then "ondertitelingsdatabase" (subtitle database) and then &...

Re: Longest subtitle

I added a new line using SW 2.51 (installed) and also with SW 6 Portable. Both on Windows 7 64-bits. No problem: http://i.imgur.com/hIv4JvY.png So I cannot reproduce it. The only thing I can think of, is that your version on your OS has a bug that occurs only in a very long subtitle. So maybe try an...

Re: Longest subtitle

Yes, I think on number of lines, which will be about 4800 at end (I'm still working on it).
If that is the case, I BET you are still working on it.
Wow.

Re: What is the meaning of "FPS" field in the web upload form?

No, the HD doesn't mean it doesn't fit your LD DVD. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. True - and we already agreed: it doesn't say anything about the subtitle. But it does serve a purpose, although a small one and similar to something like "BRRip.720p" in the release name. Besides, you can ...

Re: What is the meaning of "FPS" field in the web upload form?

Movies can have many different releases. Screeners, Web-DL, DVD rips, Bluray rips, etc. with varying timings. On top of that, variations can occur depending on how the video file was made; somebody could choose to cut out a beginning like "Paramount presents" etc. So first of all, maybe th...

Re: What is the meaning of "HD" field in the web upload form?

What gives the "HD" flag? I think it doesn't make sense. I agree - in technical terms it's not similar to other info, the examples you gave. But the idea behind it is that a user can easily see that this subtitle is suitable for a release which is HD. It is similar to "release name&q...

Re: Longest subtitle

What do you mean by "longest"? I suppose number of lines (time units)?
As far as I know, for this there is no record or search filter possibility.
The only thing that comes near to what you want to know, is FILE SIZE of the subtitle, but this doesn't mean so much.

Re: Subtitle language: country codes

Interesting. Before this topic, I didn't know it was like this and so 'extreme' (some words actually having a different meaning). In NL Dutch and BE Dutch (Flemish) it is not so extreme, words are just different. For example, a cell phone is a "mobieltje" (NL) or "gsm" (BE). For ...

Re: What is the meaning of "HD" field in the web upload form?

The same for "HD". What does it mean? High definition is about image resolution and perhaps more FPS. In this case it is about resolution. The question is only: What is "high"? And whatever the answer is, next year it might/will be different. For now, a guideline is that anythin...

Re: Questions about fixing FPS

You can also just forget about FPS. Provided your version has the same content as the version the source subtitle is made for (no added or cut parts), all you need is finding the correct timing for the first line and the last line. Subtitle software uses these two points to re-adjust all the other t...

Re: Adjusting subtitles from one to another version

Hello RobinCris, welcome. Sometimes it's just a matter of re-adjusting all timings to a fixed period of time earlier or later. Sometimes the video is (also) 'stretched' or 'squeezed'. Then you will need to know the correct timing of two points (the first and the last line). Note that some versions m...

Re: Subtitle language: country codes

As I said you could just extend your language field and keep the country information together but here comes more troubles: 2. searching would be not perfect (1 subtitle can be only in one language) Adding another language in my table is not a problem, but I am not sure, if it will have more cons o...
