I´m sorry eduo, but I don´t understand your question... I don´t calculate hashes, the goal of osTools is only to be able to have some feedback on who uploaded subtitles etc., if you are interested in this kind of information...
I feel that you have written this message in the wrong topic, no?

If you have already installed a previous version of osTools, it should warn you of the presence of this new version when you start the program!

Actually, it's like you prefer... If you want the clicks from osTools (the short name of my program) to be counted in your stats, I leave the redirect link... If you prefer to have only the actual redirect from the website, I'll do a direct link...
It's up to you!

About XML-received URL's

Hi, For the program I'm currently developing, I get URLs from the XML version on OS pages. I have a particular question: Concerning a subtitle's IMDB URL (of the type "http://www.opensubtitles.org/redirect/http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0410975/"), should we use this complete URL (with the re...

I'm sorry capiscuas, but I don't have a Google account, and I certainly am not planning to create one... It might sound stupid, but I just don't like it...

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure if it really works... in the xml, there is written <profile> <msg type="msg error">Užívateľ neznámy</msg> </profile> which translates in English to <profile> <msg type="msg error">No such user</msg> </profile> if I'm right... Are you sure it works?

Just a question, Have you implemented the "usernickname-" hack? Because when I try it, it always says "No such user"... So I don't know if it is not working, or if it is because it is not implemented yet... I don't want to rush you, I still don't need it right now (I start slowly...

I have 2 annoying things to report about OpenSubtitles... When I close my browser (Firefox) when I was logged in, and then close it, the next time I try to get to OS, it doesn't remember me... It looks like the cookies are deleted, but not... Do other people have this kind of problem? And it also al...

Hy guys (and gals), I have a little suggestion concerning SD. As we can see from this post , it might not be really clear to some people what "hash updated" means. It maybe might be a good thing to change the text to something like "Thank you very much, the subtitle is already in the ...

Hi Jeroen, Dit is helemaal geen probleem! (I'll continue in English for other people to understand...) Actually, the subtitle you try to upload is already in the database, it's just that it has never been matched against your movie file... If you search again, you'll see that the subtitle is now ass...

Oh yes, that would be so great... I know about this /xml, it's what's so interesting about OpenSubtitles to create a program... (I know about it, I created a program 3 years ago to parse the European Patent Office's website, it has really ugly HTML, and that was such a pain in the A**!) Thx! ++ dbaa...

By the way, what do you think about the idea of my previous post, counting the downloads only for the latest downloaded subtitle per movie and per language? (I say per language as I often dl 3 or 4 lang, fr, en, es and nl if available...)

Hi Eduo, I agree with you on many points. However, I don't understand where you get these very high upload and download numbers: It's clear that for some people to upload thousands and thousands of subtitle files there can't be really any kind of quality control there. Also, I think the anti-leech m...
