Re: Improved search results

I hope you are NOT deleting those subtitles. No no, why should I delete these subs?! It's great, when opensubtitles.org also stores tv-series-subs. But... should the search not show the latest subs at first? I mean, why can I browse over many sites from the today-search-result and find no actaully ...

Re: Improved search results

Something is wrong with the search. I come to opensubtitles.org every morning and check after new german subtitles, which were submitted in the last 24 hours. For this I leave empty the name field, select the german language and press the "search" button. Then I've got automatically the la...

Re: Subtitle Relevance and Accuracy

The question is: are really exists right subtitles explicit for your torrent-version? Maybe nobody has adjusted it so far. If you find no clue in the name of the srt or on the site, then maybe you must try some versions. Anyway. If no 1 CD srt exists, then merge a 2 CD srt and adjust it. That's no r...

Re: Adding subtitles to a torrent-newbie

That depends what codec (divx, xvid, x263, x264 etc.) in what containerformat (avi, mkv, ogm, mp4, vob etc) your movie is.
And if you want add the subs hardcoded or softcoded = fixed or optional displayable.

I think that the subtitle is put to the movie with handbrake...
Or maybe it was AviAddXSubs.

Re: No English subtitles on some DVDs

I dont know why some movies are excempted from English subtitles. Does anyone why this happens? No. But it's the same problem with german. In extreme cases we have DVDs with english language and a german dub (but I hate it, to watch nongerman movies in german - "dubbing is evil" http://im...

Re: Subtitles

The difference is simple: Hearing Impaired Subtitles are more a transcription rather than a translation. They contain the dialouges and descriptions of important non-dialog audio as well such as "(loud music)" or "(telephone rings)" or "(person xy:)" to show that an act...

Re: A really basic question ...

Every once in a while I come across subtitles that just won't line up to the movie dialogue. In these cases I've tried software like SubsFactory and Juble to synchronize the subtitles, but frankly haven't found them to be very helpful. Its a little easier when you use a programm (if you find one fo...

Re: Finding Partial English Subs for Movies with Foreign Sce

I can stream the subs but can't turn them off... You mean extract them or deactivate them? In a DVD or in a mkv? You can extract and/or deactivate them in both formats, except they are hardburned. I have ripped mkv movies with Forced subs but they are all in vobsub format. You mean, you have ripped...

Re: synchronizing subtitles

I have subtitle workshop, but I can't work with it. Is there any easier way ? No. Sorry, but you must adjust the srt manually with the movie, if don't exists exact matching subtitles for your version of the movie. You can work with Subtitle Workshop, cause it's one of the best progs for these work,...

Re: Lines not shown in an SRT file

I had deleted these two items in the srt and created new ones. They contain nothing bad signs, who will mabe displayed wrong or something else. The distance to the former and the next items is okay. What happens when you copy only the text of these items to another one of the later items temporarily...

Re: how do i add subtitles to a dvd?

http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/143070-How-to-backup-and-add-new-subtitles-to-a-DVD @pimppistol It's not ridiculous, it's logical: demux, add subs, mux A DVD has a specific structure, which must be preserved. You can't expect, to add subs as simpel as in an avi-file. Try the guide above and if yo...

Re: imdb in english

Next option: in the FF go to \Options\Content, klick on Languages, select English, move it up on the first place, remove all other items, erase the cache and history and restart the browser.
