Re: Can't connect and can't choose language

And again (since some days) the dropdownfield for choose the language is stuck on my own language and highlighted in orange.
It works when I hover it with the mouse and scroll the mousewheel but the little arrows are gone and the orange color is screaming.
The system is cleaned, FF is 46.0.

Re: Is there a Better Sync Software?

use VLC Player to play videos Then all you have to do is press the F or G keys to speed up or slow down the subtitles to sync them to your video If this is your advice, what do you do, when the subs are sync at the start but drift away with the runtime? Or when the movie is cut, but the subs not or...

Re: Is there a Better Sync Software?

Hoping there is something more elegant than just me trying to time the delay manually.... No. Not until now. If you want to have exactly matching subs and there is no one, you need to manually adjust it yourself. If you have done that and they fit well , you can upload the costumized version on Ope...

Re: Can't connect and can't choose language

I didn't noticed it before, but I have the same problem: no dropdownfield for change the language. It's stuck on my own language.
I use FF 45.0 and have nothing changed in the last days.

Re: I and L interchanged

As far as I know does that none of the subtitle-editors.
Therefore, step 1 is the transfer of the movie to your hard drive, for instance with MakeMKV,
step 2 the demuxing of the sub-track with mkvextract, step 3 the OCR with SubExtractor.

Re: I and L interchanged

And if you do OCR for subtitles yourself you can use a program called SubExtractor.
It's avoiding these error when you trained it right. ;-)

Re: OCR and italic

Meanwhile (over 1 1/2 years ago) I changed to DvdSubExtractor with best results. The handling is a little different from other mentioned programs. But the Extractor provides several clear advantages: 1. The margin of error is almost 0 percent 2. The additional features such as intelligent splitting ...

Re: How to match video file with subtitle

But what's the point, if they fit like a glove, but are bad in translation?
When I search for subs I proceed the same way as SmallBrother.

And first thing is the translation, not the timing.
