Topic: Adding signatures to subtitles?

Do you mean to add a signature to display at the end of the SRT file and to also mention opensubtitles.org? Or do you speak of adding a signature to the NFO file? I can say that most subtitles I added to opensubtitles.org I have neither OCR'd myself nor translated. Most uploaders do not deserve cred...

I got Rush Hour 3 off a torrent site and it did not have hardsubs for foreign segments unfortunately. I was thinking that Opensubtitles should have a way for people to denote a translation to English of only the French and Chinese spoken segments of a movie like Rush Hour 3. All I could find when I ...

I found another example of partial subtitles. The movie 12 razgnevannyh muzhchin (Russian/ 2007) IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0488478/ is only partially translated. The partial translation is available here: http://www.opensubtitles.com/en/subtitles/3249361/12-en Shouldn't subtitles like this b...

I remember watching that movie as a kid and enjoying it. All I remembered from back then was something about kicking in the nards.

I rewatched it recently as an adult and it held up.

Partial Subtitles: Example Rush Hour 3

Rush Hour 3 was mostly in English, but there were sizeable portions of the film where French or Chinese were spoken. I remember checking on this site for partial subtitles for those segments but I had no luck. All that I found were subtitles that covered the whole movie with English subtitles, not j...

Personally I love that email protection. I log onto my Opensubtitles account and paste that image address into public forums sometimes to give people an image of my email that bots cannot easily add to a spam database.

Subtitles Request Forum

I think this forum needs a requests forum sub-section. As it is many people are already using the forum for requests. So this situation of people using this forum for requests de-facto exists and I think it is better to acknowledge this trend rather than lock topics as there are rather many locked t...

Does the subtitles even have the diacritic marks? That is what you are refering to, right?

I have come across subtitles from torrents of French that have no diacritics.

ConvertXtoDVD (mininova torrent link) does this kind of thing easy. ConvertXtoDVD should automatically add subtitle tracks if you have the subtitle SRT file in the same folder. ConvertXtoDVD converts the subtitles automatically to bitmap and they work just like a subtitle track on a retail DVD, you...

No. Automatic translation is just horrible. You are better off to watch a movie that does have decent subtitles in your language. When I watch I do not want to kind of understand what is suppossed to be said. The large number of OCR errors are bad enough.
