Re: TV Series coming soon

2. Now they are parsed for episodes, that means, I just change the imdbnumber, for example to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0636289/ - only in this way is possible to support TV Series . and strictly speaking - if you can use those episode imdbs, use them , but it should work in the future also for m...

Invalid IMDb ID

What's up with this issue in SubDownloader 2.0.13? I can't use imdb id's I've been using for a long time now.

Where exactly does one change the api? there is nothing in the pref' to do that If it's an older version of the application, you can edit the Python file SDService.py (mine is /usr/share/subdownloader/modules, where yours is depends on your operating system/distribution) and edit the DEFAULT_OSDB_S...

A strange request (tv series related)

There's the old issue of whether —for a TV series episode— the episode IMDB id is more appropriate or the series IMDB id; AFAIK it's an open one, and not cast in stone. There have been discussions about it; without wanting to repeat a lot of stuff, I'd like to remind one basic fact: If a subtitle ha...

btw, I'm one of those guys that use the *episode* IMDB id, apart from adding redundant information in the release field in the format S#EE (season#episode). Thus my uploads already have the correct information, even though indirectly. I can provide a list correlating episode id to series id, just by...

Does the "IMDB Update" link work? I remember it did once, but lately it seems it doesn't. This one has been updated in IMDB, but this hasn't and can't.

Well... I know how to do what you did ;) . But I don't know (or maybe I do, but obviously don't have access to the code) how to fix the bug with the missing date => missing title.

Refresh the imdb imported data

Check this: http://www.opensubtitles.com/en/subtitles/3248548/the-day-after-gr The movie title is wrong. Click on the "About movie" IMDB icon to see the correct title. You probably have to run a manual refresh of the imdb imported data or similar. Edit: the imdb id I entered is 1178841, wh...

Another example

http://www.opensubtitles.com/en/subtitl ... 1047033-gr

I have a hunch this happens for titles without a release date (Original Air Date) yet… these titles don't have a year in parentheses, instead they get 4 question marks (????). Could the question marks hinder the process?

Existing title in IMDB shows up as IMDBid

Example: http://www.opensubtitles.com/en/subtitles/3182737/1172357-gr The episode exists in IMDB, however I can see that not all data are filled in. The subtitle shows up with the IMDBid, not the full title (Series: Episode). Do I have to do something later on for this subtitle to show correctly, or...

UTF-8 should be forced down our throats like milk&cereal

there's only one video player that can decode UTF-8 (that I know of) and it's VideoLAN. VSFilter.dll (VobSub, the Win2k/XP version) displays UTF-8 encoded subtitles fine. Also, at least the versions of ffdshow that I have seen have no trouble with UTF-8. These are player independent; so use vobsub ...

The new comment mechanism and non-ASCII text

The new commenting system (the one that greys the whole page and pops up a pseudo-dialog in the middle of the page) has issues at least on my Firefox 2.0.0.6 with non-ASCII comments, while with the previous system I hadn't any trouble with any Unicode character. e.g. check the comment in http://www....
