Re: My first upload, is it OK?

Hello, I can't give an accurate assessment, as I couldn't find a video file to watch and check. But in parts it does look like a google translation. And if it is, the "machine translation" check box should have been checked upon upload. If it is a machine translation, please use the follow...

Re: What constitutes a "bad subtitle file"?

There are two ways of looking at this. Generally good subtitles or technically freakish way of looking at it. I'll firstly explore generally good subtitles and what that means to me. GENERALLY GOOD 1: Not a machine translation (google translator). 2: Verbatim. Needs to be word for word. Not differen...

Re: Subtitles constantly losing synchronization

Most uploaded subtitles state what FPS they are. In Windows, right click, Properties and the Details tab to determine what FPS the video file is (in VLC: By clicking on Tools >>> Codec information). Then change the FPS of the srt to match. Most .srt's are usually 23.976 FPS. Maybe your videos are 25...

Re: 404 Error when trying to download

Hello All, I am using the OpenSubs API for python to download X amount of subtitles for all of the movies I have (around 600). Yesterday, I was able to successfully automate the download process, however halfway through the list (position ~300/600), Hello, Therein lies the problem. Unless you're a ...

Re: Blockage in Denmark

No way to reconsider now that the retards who filed the claim originally, didnt keep their URL working? The news headlines of Popcorn time is gone, so should the ridiculous blockage.Ah well, his site - his rules, I suppose. Keep your eyes peeled over the next month. I have it on good authority the ...

Re: Upload errors here

Hi,

Is it a 2020 series? You can do it. In the future, just click on ""search, type the name, scroll down, if there is nothing there, then click on "add movie to database."

For now, use the following ID: 1989193838976

Let us know if it worked and if the year is correct.

Re: subtitles getting downloaded twice

HI, When the pop up appears, do you also click on: " Download should start, you can also Download subtitles manually " icon? If so, that's why it's downloading twice. Don't click on that pop-up and it should download just once. I'm not experiencing that problem on Chrome. As you're only ex...

That’s probably what he meant and wanted to know. I thought he was asking about the extensive search options like the .org site has. :D

Thanks, Func.

Re: opensubtitles.org has become unusable now

Hi, Actually, don't know what's been changed. The site still runs and downloads the way it always does for me. Maybe you can clarify, as I don't seem to be having the same difficulties as you. Was talking to another admin today, and he didn't seem to be having any problems on the site either, except...

Re: How do I find TV Series Complete Zipfiles?

Hi, You'll have to use the following method: https://forum.opensubtitles.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16826 Which ever season you are on, middle click with your mouse on each episode that you want so each episode opens in a new tab in your browser. When you find a subtitle that syncs with your video ...

Re: Download not working

Yes, that link you provided is for foreign parts only. Try this file: https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitles/8039188/clear-and-present-danger-en Should be a full version. Let me know if that works okay for you. A foreign parts only file is just for the none English parts in the movie, not the fu...

You've probably downloaded the "foreign parts only" file. :D
Provide the link here.

You can't use the above method on the .com website.

Re: Subtitles Through Devices Not Working

I do hope you guys consider going back to usual once this horrific lockdown goes away. Fingers crossed, I'm sure we will. But doing it now will mean that the site will be unusable 90% of the time. That won't be good to anyone. Possible solutions for certain devices you may be using: https://forum.o...
