but it only matches if video and subtitle was from the same source, right? If someone convert same movie to h265 i coundt take "Moonfall.2022.1080p.Bluray.Atmos.TrueHD.7.1.x264-EVO" subtitle. Also if someone tooks a different audio track. So from my perspective the name for subtitle doesnt...

@SmallBrother but how to know the movie version by name? does it have the full intro, is it the directors cut,.... There could be so many variants. But the movie length would really helps. in most of 99% this will give you a hint which subtitle might match. and,... this could be really easy automated.

Why Subtitles don't use video length for identification?

For me it was very much work to find the correct subtitle for my movie. And i dont understand why subtitles doesnt include the movie length of the movie from which it was exported. I beleave this information would really helps to find the correct subtitle of the movie. Only a flag at the last second...
