The move from opensubtitles.org to .com has been frustrating for many Kodi users. Some workarounds have been shared in the tech support groups.

I made him VIP, again problem, because he is not using same username on both platforms. On opensubtitles.org he is under krdearloli123 anyway problem fixed. Also the VIP status should work automatically for both, or is there some system of transfer I should use? There are 2 extensions for kodi, one for opensubtitles.org and one for opensubtitles.com, make sure you have the correct one.

not sure what you mean by "soft" UTF-8, but you can get any subtitle in regular UTF-8 if you download it from opensubtitles.com, as it's one of the goal of the migration to convert all the various encodings received over the years to UTF-8 you can just browse opensubtitles.com to find your...
