Re: Administrators, PLEASE – EUROPEAN SPANISH Flag...

Hi, so at the moment there are two as Spanish (EU)! I think you still need to set the original as Spanish: "es", "spa" for "Spanish"

Re: Administrators, PLEASE – EUROPEAN SPANISH Flag...

So I think at the moment you have: "es", "spa" for "Spanish (EU) "ea", "spl" for "Spanish (LA) I would personally revert es and spa back to "Spanish". This is important because people uploaded Spanish from all countries to that for years. P...

Re: Administrators, PLEASE – EUROPEAN SPANISH Flag...

It does problematise things, but his answer is also incomplete. He is referring to amateur subtitlers who try to do a neutral job online. There is actually no such thing as neutral, because as soon as you say "ustedes" or "vosotros" you are declaring which side of the Atlantic yo...

Re: Administrators, PLEASE – EUROPEAN SPANISH Flag...

Hi guys, I can see Spanish (LA) but not the EU/ES one. I think without the other one it's a bit cryptic, because obviously LA makes people think of Los Angeles. I think if it's alongside EU/Es it will be more obvious (similar to the case with Portuguese). One slight problem is I just uploaded files ...

Re: Administrators, PLEASE – EUROPEAN SPANISH Flag...

In the case of One Flew... one uploader labelled the sub as europeo, which I think is a common solution. When I have uploaded Spanish subs for English shows, I normally specift España... but I agree with your point. Most streaming sites at least distinguish between "Latino" and "Caste...

I think you find a transcript here for what they say between songs:

ripping subtitles from Amazon Prime

I used to be able to do this, but now they have changed the way the subtitles are formatted. Anyone know how to rip them?

Re: Two episodes mixed up

Thanks for answering! I think it might be a cache issue, because if I access the page through another browser, it displays ok.

Two episodes mixed up

Hi guys. I uploaded two subtitles to this series: https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/ssearch/sublanguageid-spa/idmovie-153290 The episodes in question are 3x17 and 3x28. Issues: 1) Regardless of which episode link I click on (i.e. 3x17 or 3x28) when on this index page, I end up at 3x28. 2) The main fi...

Re: Recurring problem of stupidity - self-ad just before end credits

If you actually download the subtitle file, it only takes a second to see if someone has put a credit at the start or end of the file. It's not something I have ever done, but I cut people slack: they are providing me with something which generally enhances my viewing, takes them time, and costs me ...

Re: Download subtitle from Telemundo

Hi there, I don't have a VPN, but the process is usually similar for all players. 1) You normally have to play the video and select CC so it's on. 2) Now you need to inspect the page. On Chrome it is Menu-More Tools - Developer Tools. 3) Now reload the page. Once it is loaded play the video. 4) On t...

Re: URL subtitles for stream watching

Strange. I have no idea how much you know about computers, so I will start with a stupid piece of advice. Another forum member here didn't notice that sometimes files download as .zip files, and you have to extract them to get the .srt file. Assuming you know the difference between a zip and an srt,...

Re: URL subtitles for stream watching

Here what you would have to do is download the subtitle, then upload the file. Many videoplayers let you do this, the first one that comes to mind is openload, which gives you an options to load subtitles either from a url or a file. So: 1) Find the subtitles you want here. 2) Donwload. 3) Find a ve...

Re: Subs only download in Notepad and not as .SRT

That's very weird. If you are getting gibberish like that, it's because it's not the right kind of file. The same would happen if you tried to open an mp3 with Notepad, for example. I looked up your Jeg Er Din film on here and for me it downloaded fine. The only things I can think of are: - here som...

Re: Subs only download in Notepad and not as .SRT

I agree, you should be able to open subtitles files in Notepad without it converting anything. One thing I notice - not from this website but others - is that if I want to save a VTT file, it actually saves it as a TXT file, like this: Sub1x01.vtt.txt If you have any doubts the same is happening to ...
