yes, opensubtitles player is based on ALLPlayer, we think ALLPlayer is good product and got a future - at least it is worth to try - and we join forces together to make OpenSubtitles player.

Enjoy :)

If this is AllPlayer i don't even check, it have bad opinion in poland (to put it mildly) - its the worst from polish players. Its popular only becouse authors are making everywhere advertisements telling this program is miracle.
I personaly checked one time what they will do if i increase download counter of their biggest competitor BestPlayer on the most popular download page in poland - dobreprogramy. As I expected they dont let me, or someone dont let me do this. When i increased downloads counter by 500k they do immediately the same on own player. We played with counters till owner of portal react. Few millions download per month its to mutch :PP.

So you can see why this program is so popular, they like to tell everybody that this is the most oftern downloaded polish player :PP, and ppl buy this till use it.

You want player ?? choose another polish player: CinemaPlayer, long time not developeed so autor decided to put it as opensource now. YOu may add use of opensubtitles there. And program is very little. after you compres it using UPX it will have max 300kb. Its written in delphi.

Or, rather, stop using ANY polish player until those guys get their act together and stop introducing chaos into the subtitle scene.

Mutliple cloned crap players?
Horrible, txt-based subtitles?

Boycott the polish scene until they mature and stop the silliness, I say.

Oh, thank you for your comment. You are the owner of Cinemaplayer I guess. Shame on you, it's so "polish" to be jeleaous of other Polish who succeed instead of join forces together like other nations do.
I did tested the player and It's great. Even if is based on VLC, ALLPlayer or other player even better as is very stable. I did tested for subtitles and it works very well. The subtitles did show up in a automatic mode in the language I've chosen in the setup. Well done. There is small issue though:when I watch a movie in not full mode, the front panel of the player I would like to be hidden, like does in QuickTime Player, but it's my personal.

Tell me, what has to do program to watching movies with subtitles scene ??, Do you really thing programmers in poland are building subtitle scene ??.
Subtitles added by this program to os.org are added without any agreement with author of subtitles.

maciek: I owner of CinemaPlayer ??, lol, my nick exactly explayin what i wrote. CinemaPlayer is a good player becouse this server should not be addicted from closed source programs especialy so suspicious like allplayer.
Open .... services shouldnt recommend comercial program to use - sorry, especialy if they works like allplayer.
Till now i remember situation in which this program want to steal my money by forcing me to paid for liveupdate telling me i dont have codecs to watch the movie, when players like bestplayer, cinemaplayer or MediaPlayerClasic played it without any problem.
My example only was to show how works guys who create this program and prevent owner of this portal ....

As i saw, os owner is a man of honor, i doubt he want to destroy good name of this portal

Yeah, well, videos subtitled by these subtitlers are being shared without any agrements with producer of videos.

Your point would be invalid, but it doesn't even exist. I'm complaining about a whole ecosystem of which subtitles, subtitlers and players are all guilty of the terrible state for a whole country without anyone doing anything constructive, just stupid bickering and infighting.

You're saying subtitles have more limitations than the videos they are for? That even if the videos are copied undiscriminately the subtitles are entitled to some sort of copyright and author rights? Nonsense.

Aside from the Pole bashing - I'd have to admit that this player is crap. The idea is nice: You have a fingerprint of a movie and you associate it with matching subs.

I just tried that and as outcome my upped subfile was renamed to "t.dll" and shows up as "tmp".

WTF!

Really, don't spread such crappy software - I just wasted more than 30min of my precious live to upload some subs and then it ends in

EPIC FAIL *cry-baby-cry*

Nah, thanks. *OpenSubtitles Player REMOVED*

PS: but thanks anyway for the try :)

thanks for opinion. What about to help us to improve software ?

"I just tried that and as outcome my upped subfile was renamed to "t.dll" and shows up as "tmp". "

so what exactly you did ? You got subtitles with movie, you opened it in player, and then you click upload, after that you go to website and you saw that some information was bad ? Please write what you did exactly, so we can look on it, and dont write it is just crap software. Thanks

There should be Norwegian letters on Norwegian Windows.
