Oscar is a closed-source project, source code is not available.

RAR archives are not video files and as such will not be added to list of video files.

You can always try to use the highly experimental "archiver support" (see Preferences --> System --> use archiver support) in the latest beta to search for subtitles (to video files) in archives but I do not recommend it since calculating video file hashes from archives is quite slow at the moment.

Majky, you should add just STORE support of RAR archives (no compression used), it should be quite fast then.

Hi, the current version of Oscar does not support drag&drop with mp4 files. Is it possible to add this feature in the next release of this incredible software?

thanks

Thanks for your input.

I've already located the problem, it's gonna take me a while to fix it and compile a new version so, please, be patient in the meantime.

That works.
Great work man, keep it up! Oscar is definitely the best app for downloading and managing subs.

Generally there's no need for any setup whatsoever. Everything should work out-of-the-box just fine.

If you need some help on the Preferences, try reading 'notes.txt' file.

If you have a more specific question, don't hesitate to ask.

Also try the beta version first, that one has many enhancements compared to the stable version, might work better for you.

Hi,

I have been using oscar_g2v13 since some time, but recently i faced an error while downloading the subtitles. The error is : " OSDb: DownloadSubtitles: exception Item is not a integer type".
I tried downloading using oscar_g2v16, but its also giving the same error.
Could you please help me with this.

Thanks

That should fix your problems ...

Hi Majky,

Thanks for the app... I have a minor issue - If I set "save/restore window position" the application hangs after a short while. Can't tell exactly what causes the hang, maybe drag and drop folder, I think clicking the Preferences tab also hangs the app.

Thanks again for the great application,

Z.

edit: I'm using g2v17.
