Subtitlers, I need your help.

Hi everyone! I was looking for a good forum about subtitles and I guess I found it. Did not want to post this thread in a "big" section so I visited this one.

So! This year (in June) I should be defending my MA thesis and what I chose to write about is Amateur Subtitling. My supervisor gave me some advice and told me to maybe visit a few forums and ask people about it, try to do a research of some kind.

Now, I don't have anything prepared yet (just some general questions in my head, trying to jump over the river of procrastination) but I surely will in a matter of days/weeks. What I would like to do is to ask maybe a few of you (if you are willing) about amateur subtitling - why did you decide to do it, is ti fun, does it help improve your language and so on.

The answers from you guys will be implemented to my MA and hopefully help me getting my degree heh :P It's completly anonymous, I won't use or need any information other than answers to questions concerning subtitling so don't worry :P

So if you are willing to help me out, please contact me on this forum (pm), you can send me an email (franek.jagiello@gmail.com) or find me on FB (https://www.facebook.com/franek.jagiello).

Thanks so much for even reading this :P

PS: if you know anyone who would be willing to do this and is not on this forum, ask him maybe :P
