Logging In

What happens when an unknown user agent tries to access the API? I tried to log in using a random user agent and still got a token, though the status read unknown user agent..... can that token be used for further acces to api??

also , is my User agent a secret thing??? i'm going to put the useragent in a settings file for my program without any encryption. the user can just open or edit it to see the user agent. will that be any problem??

I'm confused how to use the user agent. if my user agent is xxxx and i've filled my version info as v1, i have to use"xxxx.v1" na?? pls someone clarify.. i was using the "OS Test user Agent" till today, and my registered user agent give 411 error..:(

Hi,

I think you register useragent. If you register "MyUserAgent" and you want to add there version (you should), you can use "MyUserAgent v0.1" for example.

"414 Unknown User Agent" - it means, your useragent is not registered, for sure it will not work when you will put there "MyUserAgent.v1" for example. No dots.

If you got more problem, you can contact me directly so I can check whats going on.

i have applied for registration and i got a reply from admin (I think that's you) that it's registered..

Suppose I submitted Data Like this.....

Title of useragent: MyUserAgent
Version of useragent: v1

and I've been trying to login using "MyUserAgent v1" But it gives me a 414 error unregistered..

there was a mention of expiring cache will take some time... is that it why i cant login using that user agent? its 6 days since i got the mail from admin.

I directly sent a mail to admin asking these things.... hope i'll get a reply soon..
