Hi,
allthough I'm new to the forum, I have used opensubtitles for some time now.
Recently I bought a tv which can read SRT files. But the strange thing is, that only some srt files can be read and some cannot. Does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem? How can I be sure which SRT files can be read and which don't?

How do you watch the video on your TV? Do you stream it through wi-fi or use a USB stick and plug that to your TV? Try using the ANSI format of subtitles. Open the subtitle and save as ANSI.

I watch them from a HDD, which is connected to the tv.
How can I open the SRT files?

I would use also some programs, which can load and save subtitles. Encoding, as suggested might be a problem too. Also I would ask in forum, of the TV you got, there will be other users to have this problems too I guess.

The movie and the subtitle should have the same name.
Like:
ATM.2012.720p.HDRiP.AC3-5.1.x264-SiC(.avi)
ATM.2012.720p.HDRiP.AC3-5.1.x264-SiC(.srt)
Else it won't work.
