API => hash like in subdownloader
Web => Fulltext, partial and directory search
I think search method, isn't the problem.
Lookat =>
http://www.opensubtitles.org/fr/ssearch ... dmovie-593You will see only S09E06 but with API you will find also S09E08 that isn't reference on website.

if you search with different input, you got different output. Please provide exactly input parameters for API search and for web search, because from this, I can not say whats going on.

The name of the file is NCIS.S09E16.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv
Search with fulltext on website with FRE => Found one.
Search with sublanguageid : fre / moviehash : d33804ce5315cb14 / moviebytesize : 657038328 on API => Not Found for French (But found without sublanguageid)
Search with sublanguageid : fre / query : NCIS.S09E16.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION on API => Found three
Search with sublanguageid : fre / tag : NCIS.S09E16.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv on API => Found one
You were right, I must modify my script to test with MovieHash (very precise) and if nothing found try tag with filename.
If i found nothing with hash, is it because subtitle parameters were saved with bad records (Hash) ?

not every subtitle uploaded got a movie hash, so thats why you can not compare it. You can compare fulltext vs fulltext and hash search vs same hash search. Subtitles can be uploaded without any hash. and 1 subtitles can have more moviehashes (fits to many releases...)
