Unable to download subs

Sun Jul 27, 2014 2:55 am

Is now mandatory to use the Download Manager? In the past, I was able to download unchecking this option however now seems it is not working anymore.

Besides, if I do enable the check box, I got the following message from my AV (Kaspersky):

The requested URL cannot be provided
URL:
http://dl.opensubtitles.org/en/download/<...>
Blocked by Web Anti-Virus
Reason: dangerous URL
Click here if you believe that the web page has been blocked mistakenly.
Detection method: databases

I wonder if something changed in the site or if there are something wrong from my side.

Thanks,
nucleox.

[edit]: try again and clear your browser cache and cookies, or try another browser. I believe it was caused just because javascript was not properly downloaded.

hi, thanks for report, we changed something there few days ago, it should be even more easy to download.

1. Download manager is no mandatory, just opt out (take out checkbox)
2. Download subtitles

if you can, provide what exactly you do (example, I go to this url, then opt out checkbox, then click download, then my AV is protesting and here is screenshot...)

So I can see what URL is exactly blocked (full url) and what is going on. Please provide your OS and Browser with versions. Thanks.

it is working now, I tried with IE and it worked so realized that maybe Chrome was running the old version of the function in javascript, the one changed, so once I cleared the cache, it started working again.

thank you, nucleox.
